Caught By The River
Caught by the River is an arts/nature/culture clash, posting daily at caughtbytheriver.net. It was conceived in 2007 as an online meeting place for pursuits of a distinctly non-digital variety: walking, fishing, looking, thinking. From birdsong and beer to adventure and poetry: life’s small pleasures, in all their many flavours.
Their special extended stage slot will feature John Andrews plus poets Will Burns and Martha Sprackland – some of the site’s longest-serving contributors – as well as former Hefner frontman Darren Hayman, who’ll be discussing and performing songs from his Thankful Villages project. Last but not least is bestselling H is for Hawk author Helen Macdonald, in conversation with Tim Dee – editor of the anthology Ground Work: Writings on People and Place, to which she contributed.
